Zack Snyder on Henry Cavill’s cameo
Zack said, “I haven’t seen it yet, but I did hear about it,” in response to the question of whether he had seen Henry’s appearance as Wolverine in the movie. Sounds good. When it was brought out that Deadpool, a character played by Ryan Reynolds, pokes fun at Marvel’s decision to treat Henry better than the “studio down the street,” he even smiled.
Zack said, “Well, Henry is an amazing Superman to me, obviously,” when he was pressed about how Henry “wasted” five or six years in limbo since the movie never took off. I employed him. I thought he should be Superman. It would be awful if there were any pennies left on the table, and in that sense, more Henry would be ideal. I’ve always believed that Henry might have had more.
Henry Cavill’s Superman fiasco
Henry portrayed Superman in the films Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Justice League (2017), for those who are unaware. Many people thought he will star in another Superman movie since he also made an appearance as Superman in Black Adam (2022).
In 2023, co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn declared, “I like Henry,” in an interview with The Wrap. He’s a really kind man. I believe that a lot of individuals, including previous administrations at this organization, have d***ed about with him. But for several reasons, this Superman is not Henry.
Furthermore, he asserted that Henry wasn’t “fired” and that he was “never cast” for Superman: Legacy. Following a meeting with James, Henry posted on Instagram in 2022: “It’s sad news, everyone, that I had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran.” Ultimately, I won’t be coming back as Superman.
