Wayanad landslides: Tuesday’s intense rains left the hilly north Kerala district awake to a slew of destructive landslides.
The internet praised the rescue and relief personnel in Wayanad for risking their lives to save others following many landslides in the mountainous area of north Kerala. Images from many sources showed rescue workers using a harness to help them cross a body of water and reach the other side. The natural tragedy has claimed the lives of over 90 individuals and wounded over 100 more.
In severe weather, rescue personnel from the Army, Navy, and NDRF search for survivors together, and several agencies collaborate to deliver vital aid to individuals impacted.
These heroes who risk their lives should get as much or even more appreciation & honour like the Olympic medal winners. #WayanadLandslide pic.twitter.com/hsNVH9Jqdc
