Ulajh film office collection day 1: The thriller starring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah received a sluggish reception in theaters and failed to make an impression at the box office on opening day. A Sacnilk.com article claims that the movie’s earnings in India were a mere ₹1.10 crore.
Box office performance
The movie, which was directed by Sudhanshu Saria, reportedly made about ₹1.10 crore on its first day in India. Ulajh had a Hindi occupancy rate of 13.02% overall on Friday. For morning presentations, the theater occupancy rate was 7.38% overall. It was 10.85% for afternoon concerts, 13.06% for evening shows, and 20.78% for night shows.
Gulshan on film’s poor performance
Reactions to the movie were not unanimous. Pre-sale tickets for the spy thriller reportedly failed to bring in more than ₹1000, according to an earlier report.
Following the release, Gulshan shared his thoughts about the performance on his X account, stating, “Word of mouth is the Mount Everest of publicity.” Without the audience’s natural backing, it cannot be developed. Every movie in theaters aspires to be like this. #Ulajh is now showing in theaters.

About the film
Janhvi plays Suhana, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, in the movie. As the newest Deputy High Commissioner, she must deftly handle a difficult assignment in the London embassy while coming under intense scrutiny. Undercover agent Gulshan Devaiah performs the role.
The teaser teases at the presence of an internal leak that puts the lives of covert operatives in danger and forces Suhana into a desperate fight for survival. It provides a look into a maze of hidden facts and betrayals.
Ulajh tries to be a number of things, including a commentary on nepotism, unjust treatment of women in positions of power at work, sexist theories about how they got there, and, in the end, why diplomacy is the solution to international disputes, according to the Hindustan Times review of the film. All of this causes the movie to become overly serious about itself.
