As the four-day Democratic National Convention (DNC) got underway in Chicago, Donald Trump took aim at Kamala Harris, her rival for the White House in 2024.
Notably, during the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Harris will accept her party’s presidential candidacy.
Targeting the US Vice President, who is prepared to mount a formidable resistance against Trump in November, the Republican front-runner referred to her presidential selection as “not fair”, heightening his criticism as new polls show that Harris is making substantial gains in crucial battleground states.
Trump tears into Harris and Biden
Trump asserted that the Democratic Party had carried out “the first ever Coup in America” in a caustic post on Truth Social.
Trump’s fury at Harris after she won the Democratic nomination in 2024 as a result of President Joe Biden’s unnerving 2024 retirement. The Commander-in-Chief, 81, was allegedly warned by Democrats, “Sorry Joe, you’re losing to Trump, BIG, and you can’t beat him – You’re Fired.”
“It’s unfair, maybe even another kind of election meddling,” Trump declared, restating his long-standing charges of anomalies in the US electoral system and voicing particular irritation at his rival’s sudden metamorphosis. He hinted that the Democrats were trying to bolster their position by orchestrating Biden’s departure.
The former president went on to assert that he can easily defeat Harris and to be confident in his capacity to do so. “The good news is that the United States of America will never permit itself to turn into a communist country, so she should be easier to defeat than Crooked Joe.”
The Democrats staged the first ever “Coup” in America. Crooked Joe Biden was told, “Sorry Joe, you’re losing to Trump, BIG, and you can’t beat him – You’re Fired.” So now, for the first time in American history, I’ll have to beat TWO Candidates, the second being a Radical Left…

Trump’s comments align with a recent Focaldata survey for Semafor that indicates Harris is still leading in three key battleground states. Between August 6 and August 16, 4,854 prospective voters participated in a poll that was conducted in seven important states. According to the findings, Harris has a sizable advantage over Trump in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada.
Furthermore, the study indicates that Harris is ahead by narrow margins in North Carolina (47 to 46 percent) and Pennsylvania (48 to 47 percent). In only two states, Georgia (49 to 45 percent) and Arizona (46 to 45 percent), does Trump’s lead remain greater than the error margin.
