Taylor Swift showed up at a party for the first time since her Vienna tour dates were canceled.
After her Vienna gigs were canceled last week owing to a terror threat, pop phenomenon Taylor Swift made her public debut. To cheer up her Eras Tour crew in London on Monday night, she organized a party. As part of the Eras World Tour, Taylor was scheduled to play in Vienna on August 8, 9, and 10.
Taylor Swift’s first appearance since attack threats
Taylor was seen leaving the upscale members-only club Annabel’s while wearing a piece from the Vivienne Westwood fall/winter 2024–2025 collection. According to Page Six, she brought the color as she partied with her Eras Tour team members while wearing a vibrant plaid skirt and a matching three-quarter-sleeve double-breasted jacket.
The Lover singer finished the ensemble with a brown purse, green Mary Janes with white stockings, and a Wizard Frill shirt by the same designer. For the event, she wore her hair down and accessorized with traditional red lips and smoky eyes. The 14-time Grammy winner looked stylish and happy, but she also seemed a little upset.
Since the announcement of the Vienna tour cancelation, Taylor has been silent, and opinions among fans are varied. While some are disappointed with the popstar for remaining silent on the matter, others supported her, arguing in Deuxmoi’s comment section that “she is likely following government officials and security administration’s specific instructions.”
Arrests made in the terror attack in Vienna
Numerous youths were taken into custody by the Austrian authorities about the crime. According to Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, chief of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, the three men committed to ISIS that they “wanted to attack the area outside the stadium, killing as many people as possible.”
The supporters congregated in the Austrian streets, singing Taylor’s classics and exchanging friendship bracelets—a custom unique to Eras Tours—despite the threat and postponed tour.
