Some fans are “afraid” of Taylor Swift’s mid-song little old “scream,” which is one of the funniest parts of her enormously successful Eras Tour, which is ending shortly.
The story of Taylor Swift and her wildly successful Eras Tour continues as she gets ready to go to Vienna, Austria, for her Ernst Happel Stadium performance on August 8–10, which will feature special guest Paramore. But before taking out for her new musical adventure, the stunning “Anti-Hero” needs to uphold her “Reputation” in Warsaw, Poland. Before Swiftie ended her last three performances, it was clear that fans were not prepared for what their favorite pop diva had in store for them.
Recently, a fresh fan-shot video—which appears during Swift’s live concert performances every time—was uploaded to the internet. The Tortured Poet was once again captured in the newest chapter of this magnificent tragedy, complete with a dramatic screech that marked the end of her final high notes in “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”
She shouted out the melancholy melody while floating over a diamond stage in her onstage performative antic for the Saturday Warsaw stop. An odd wail that seemed to conclude the theatrical segment sparked a discussion on TikTok about whether the pop diva may have slid or lost her balance mid-song. But after hearing Taylor’s yell at the exact same point when singing the song on her three-night tour in Warsaw and at a prior Munich show, fans immediately saw a pattern beginning to emerge.

Her tiny campy protest was described as “truly a scream out of fear” by a TikTok user. Someone other immediately stated that they had enjoyed her performance in which she floated about the stage and became “really unhinged about it.”
A third user was genuinely concerned about Swift, despite not being able to discern what had happened at the moment. “I don’t know what happened, but that shriek she let out during Who’s afraid of little old me sure scared the heck out of us.”
In response, yes, the little, showy performance Taylor had planned for her fans attending the live event did indeed frighten them.
Swifties eventually came to the conclusion that her well-meaning “scream” was a staged gesture, maybe practiced before the concerts.
One fan joked, “It’s giving 1989 seagull,” while another said they adored her for “being sassy.” Some Swifties called it an appropriate “record scratch,” quoting the exact lyrics of the song.
The following is Taylor’s chorus for the tenth song on “The Tortured Poets Department”:
After performing in Vienna from August 8 to 10, Swift will return to London to perform at Wembley Stadium for five nights on August 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20. After a little break, the “Love Story” singer will begin her Toronto shows on November 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23. She will wrap out her insane, record-breaking tour in Vancouver this December.
