Samantha Ruth Prabhu had already been under fire for her Instagram stories, where she promoted the usage of hydrogen peroxide nebulization.
Dr. Cyriac Abbey Phillips, aka the Liver Doc, recently criticized Samantha Ruth Prabhu for supporting hydrogen peroxide nebulization. Following the entire controversy, the actor started including warnings in her podcast, Take 20, about health.
Samantha adds disclaimer
Samantha talks about supplements with author and natural medicine doctor David Jockers in her podcast’s most recent edition. She has started to include a disclaimer with every clip of the episode that she has since posted on Instagram, stating that it was released purely for “informational purposes.”
This episode’s audio, text, graphics, photos, and other content, among other things, are all for informative purposes only, according to the disclaimer. This episode’s content is not meant to replace expert medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never ignore professional medical advice or put off seeking it because of something you heard on this podcast; instead, always consult your doctor or another qualified health care provider with any questions you may have about a medical condition or treatment, as well as before starting a new health care regimen.
The previous fiasco
The physician referred to Samantha as a “health illiterate” earlier this month and requested a severe penalty. Her recommendation for treating viral infections was to nebulize hydrogen peroxide. He commented, “She needs assistance or a better advisor in her team.” After that, Samantha clarified that she was only endorsing “treatments that worked wonderfully for (her)”.
“I have no doubt that his intentions were good. Had he not been so provocative with his remarks, it would have been lovely and sympathetic of him,” the woman wrote, emphasizing, “especially the part where he says I should be placed in prison.” Nevermind. It comes with the job, I guess, being a famous person. I didn’t post as a celebrity; instead, I identified as someone in need of medical care.
After the doctor’s post, Ricky Kej and Jwala Gutta also criticized the actor.
Upcoming work
Samantha, who was last seen in the 2023 movie Kushi and took a hiatus from work after being diagnosed with myositis, will soon be featured in the online series Citadel: Honey Bunny. In addition, she will star and produce the movie Maa Inti Bangaram.
