Carpenter appears to have gotten over the incident, even if she hasn’t addressed the fireworks fright yet.
Onstage at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco on Saturday, Sabrina Carpenter escaped major harm. The concertgoer, 25, just avoided being struck by fireworks in the middle of her performance due to a fault in the venue’s pyrotechnics. The horrifying incident is captured on camera, with the Espresso singer bolting backstage and screaming.

Carpenter is seen quickly looking behind her in the performance clip that was posted on X, the former Twitter, after being startled by fireworks going off. Sensing anything was off, the singer of Please, Please, Please sprang from the podium with lightning speed. Then, when a barrage of fireworks burst all at once, she shrieked in panic and fled safety backstage.

Carpenter has not yet addressed the pyrotechnics concern, but it appears that she has moved on from the incident because she subsequently thanked her supporters on social media and acknowledged Kacey Musgraves, with whom she sang a duet of Nancy Sinatra’s popular tune These Boots Are Made For Walkin’. She said, “Headlined @outsidelands:o thank you to everyone who came,” as the caption for a carousel of show images that she shared on Instagram on Sunday.
The singer of On My Way went on, “I want to express my gratitude to @spaceykacey, who is an angel, for joining me in singing and dancing to Nancy Sinatra:’)” said, “And a big thank you to my whole crew and staff. I adore every single creative person who helped make this event possible, both on and off stage. Carpenter remained silent about the incident, but her followers were happy that she was well.
“Sabrina, how are you doing? One fan asked on Instagram, “You scared us with your screams at the end of the show with the pyrotechnics.” “Our polly pocket was NOT prepared for the pyro and fireworks at the end of the show,” a second user commented. “The show’s finale appeared to be something from a motion picture. Another admirer remarked, “Poor Sabrina was SCARRED for life with those fireworks.”
