While his uncle Pawan Kalyan was running as well, Allu Arjun supported YSRCP candidate Silpa Ravi Reddy during the Andhra Pradesh elections.
For Pawan Kalyan’s family, the Andhra Pradesh elections this year had great significance. The father of Niharika Konidela, his brother Naga Babu, and other family members supported Pawan wholeheartedly. It was criticized because Allu Arjun backed a YSRCP candidate. Niharika now spoke candidly about the alleged argument in an interview with M9.
‘I can only speak for myself’
Niharika was questioned about the family’s response to Arjun’s open backing of Silpa Ravi Reddy in Nandyal. We didn’t really talk about it all that much, she said. At home, we didn’t discuss it because everyone had different motivations. Everyone is free to follow their own path in matters of politics, religion, and spirituality.
She refuted that her father’s post on Arjun was about him, saying instead that he must have shared his “opinion” on something else. She responded, “For me, it’s always family first and I can only speak for myself,” when pressed further. choose not to address it further in a comment.
‘They have their own reasons’
During a news conference last month, Niharika was questioned on the reported argument between family members. Additionally, some said that Arjun had been unfollowed by their relative Sai Dharam Tej, also known as Sai Durgha Tej, on X (previously Twitter).
She expressed her ignorance by saying, “To be honest, I was unaware of this until you informed me. I apologize; I was unaware of that. “But, whatever it is, I’m sure they have their own reasons,” she did add, implying that if it is genuine, there must be a reason.
When the entire family gathered in Hyderabad following the elections to celebrate Pawan’s victory, Arjun was also absent.
Allu Arjun clarifies his support
Arjun asserted that he is still “neutral” toward all parties in a May statement, saying, “First of all, I want to make it clear that I’m not affiliated with any political party.” I stay impartial and stand by my people, no matter what party they belong to. This includes my buddy Ravi, my father-in-law Mr. Reddy, and my uncle Pawan Kalyan, for whom I will always be there.
“I promised my friend Mr. Ravi that I would support him, but I was unable to follow through on that last time,” he said. I went to Nandyal this time to support him since I promised to fulfill my word, and I thanked Silpa for the “hospitality” he received at Nandyal.
