In the current 2024 Paris Olympics final event, Neeraj Chopra took home the silver medal. India’s top javelin thrower, who fouled on five of his six attempts, took second place. The gold medallist from the Tokyo Olympics was defeated this time by Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan. As could be expected, social media is occupied with congratulating and enjoying Chopra’s victory. Videos of his parents’ responses have also surfaced within those images.
As they uploaded a video, ANI stated, “We are very happy, for us silver is also equal to gold… Neeraj Chopra was injured, so we are happy with his performance,” in reference to his mother Saroj Devi’s reaction to his son earning a silver medal in the men’s javelin throw at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Olympian’s mother is heard in the video expressing her happiness for her son Nadeem’s gold medal and comparing the sportsmen to her own kids. She also says that when Neeraj gets home, she would prepare his favorite meal.
