According to Mark Zuckerberg, he wears a personalized necklace with a prayer for each of his daughters on it. Every night before he puts them to bed, he sings them this song.
In an interview with Emily Chang on “The Circuit,” Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, revealed the touching backstory of the gold necklace he frequently wears. The software tycoon disclosed that the necklace means a great deal to him and his family and is more than simply an ornament. He sings a prayer on the personalized chain to his girls before they go to bed every night.
“Tell me about the necklace,” journalist Emily Chang of Bloomberg asks him in a now viral video.
Zuckerberg glances at and grips his jewelry, saying, “Oh, this?”
I collaborated with a designer to create this item, which features an engraved version of the prayer I say to my kids before I put them to bed every night. It’s known as Mi Shebeirach in Jewish tradition. And it’s essentially a prayer for bravery and health,” he discloses.
In addition, he reveals that the prayer asks for strength to “make our lives a blessing.”
And I just think that’s like, unless I’m traveling or something, and I’ve sang that to them pretty much every night since they were born. But I make an effort to stay till nightfall. When I spend out with the kids, that’s kind of my thing. He continues, “It’s simply significant for me and our family.
