On December 22, Prabhas’ most recent film, Salaar: Part 1—Ceasefire, was released in theaters. The movie reportedly cost ₹270 crore to produce. It took six weeks to play in theaters before earning over ₹400 crore.
On January 20, the film became accessible on Netflix in all available languages, with the exception of Hindi. On February 16, the Hindi version was then made available on Disney+ Hotstar.

The Deccan Chronicle has revealed the release date for Kalki 2898 AD OTT. It can be streamed in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on Prime Video India. The magazine states that the Hindi version will be available on Netflix India.
According to the newspaper, which cited sources, other language versions may begin streaming on Prime Video India around August 15, although the Bollywood version may be delayed. It is still unknown, though, when Kalki 2989 AD will make its internet premiere on Independence Day.
