The world has been wondering if Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, his co-star on It Ends With Us, were at odds. A recent study outlines his attempts to make it right.
The conflict between Blake Lively and her co-star Justin Baldoni—who also helmed the romantic drama—on It Ends With Us has generated enough discussion on the internet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, to repair the damage, Justin has brought on experienced crisis PR manager Melissa Nathan.
Justin hires crisis PR
Melissa previously defended actor Johnny Depp throughout his protracted, widely reported divorce from Amber Heard. Even while Justin’s problem is now a small portion of that one, it is growing more and more intense every day. Before the movie came out, rumors were circulating online that Blake and Justin hadn’t been conducting joint interviews to promote their picture. Additionally, they were not spotted chemistry-wise at It Ends With Us’ New York debut.
According to the story, the two fell out during post-production when Blake asked her husband Ryan Reynolds’ editor of Deadpool & Wolverine, Shane Reid, to create a cut of the movie that was very different from Justin’s version. Rumors have since surfaced suggesting that Justin unnerved Blake while they were filming.
Justin’s recent interviews
Ever since It Ends With Us made an astonishing $50 million at the North American box office last weekend, Justin has been praising Blake’s involvement in the movie in recent interviews. The fact that It Ends With Us is mostly told from the perspective of a woman and deals with delicate subjects like domestic violence has made him regret that during production he stepped aside to give way to female voices like Blake’s.
Considering that It Ends With Us only cost a meager $25 million to make, co-financiers Columbia Pictures and Wayfarer Studios will benefit handsomely from it. In addition, Blake has a co-producer credit on the movie. Blake plays Boston florist Lily Bloom in the film, which is based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling romance novel. Lily is divided between two men: Justin, her current partner, and Brandon Sklenar, her first love.
