Actor Janhvi Kapoor mentioned in the interview that she was once scolded by her mother, late film legend Sridevi, for cutting her hair short for a job.
Actor Janhvi Kapoor has vowed never to go bald for a role in a film. And her mother Sridevi is to blame for it. According to the actor, the late movie diva was proud of her mane and would never cut it off for any reason.
Speaking about her film Ulajh, Janhvi discussed what she would never do for her reel life when she participated on the IMDb-only program Ask Each Other Anything. Roshan Mathew joined her for the part.

In response to the question of what one thing she would never do for a part, Kapoor said that she would not go bald, even if it meant missing out on a once-in-a-lifetime, drastically different chance.
“They can simply apply VFX or a bald cap.” I’ve fractured bones, bled, dislocated my shoulder, and gone through all kinds of trauma and suffering, but I refuse to become bald,” Janhvi remarked.
“Even for my Ulajh character, Sudhanshu wanted me to cut my hair short, and that was my biggest fight with him,” the actor continued.
She remembered a day when she had cut her hair short and her mother had raged at her.
“Because I recall that when I chopped my hair during Dhadak, my mother frequently raged at me, asking, ‘How could you? Never chop your hair for a part. She used to massage my head and put oil in my hair every third or fourth day. She took great pride in my hair. Thus, I won’t cut my hair,” the actor declared
