According to Janhvi Kapoor, she never presses her father Boney Kapoor “to have her in his film.” She went on to say she believes in his judgment.
In response to the question of whether she would like to appear in Mr. India 2, the follow-up to the 1987 cult hit Mr. India, actor Janhvi Kapoor has reacted. Janhvi discussed her thoughts on whether the movie should have a sequel in an interview with Pinkvilla. Anil Kapoor, Janhvi’s uncle, and Sridevi, Janhvi’s late mother, played the key parts in Mr. India.
Janhvi on being part of Mr India
“Mr India is one of the best films to have come out of Indian cinema,” said Janhvi. In a movie like that, I’m not sure whether it should ever be touched or recreated. I’m not aware of the intentions behind it. Once more, I believe the creators are the greatest. The director, whoever he is, will have the most expertise. You can’t impose anything on something that pure.”
Janhvi spoke about her father’s judgment
Speaking about having faith in her father, producer Boney Kapoor, continued, “I’ve never said to myself, ‘No, I don’t want to do this film.'” I put too much faith in his judgment. I never turn it down. However, I’ve never put any pressure on him to include me in his movie. I am an actress speaking to a producer, but first and foremost, I am his daughter. I’m not even thinking about it. I want him to make the greatest choices for his movie and business model as a daughter. “I have never said, ‘Please take me (in your film)’ because I only want him to function in that manner.”
What Boney had said about Mr India’s sequel
Anil Kapoor appeared in a commercial last year as Mr. India. Boney had posted a video on X at the time, implying a follow-up. “Work in progress for a big screen appearance,” he had stated. @AnilKapoor #MrIndia #MrIndia2
