Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official, took issue with Blinken’s Monday claim that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had approved a revised proposal.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s announcement on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had accepted an amended plan was met with criticism from Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas leader, who said that the proposal “raises many ambiguities” since it is “not what was presented to us nor what we agreed on.”
Hamdan stated to Reuters that “we don’t need new Gaza ceasefire negotiations, we need to agree on an implementation mechanism,” which Hamas has previously acknowledged to mediators.
