Following the reveal of the Pixel 9 Pro, Google introduced the Pixel 9 Pro Fold through a teaser video that confirmed both its design and name. The video featured the foldable phone with the tagline “foldable phone built for the Gemini era” and highlighted an AI chatbot. The device boasts a prominent rectangular camera bump, with its lenses arranged in a dual-level vertical design.
The teaser also showcased the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s external display and hinge mechanism. The cover display includes a hole-punch cutout and is finished in an off-white shade reminiscent of Google’s signature Porcelain, though more vibrant color options are expected at the official launch.
Google has announced that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available in the Indian market, a departure from its predecessor, the Google Pixel Fold, which did not launch in the country. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, along with the Pixel 9 Pro, will be released in India on August 14, a day after the global launch event.
