George Clooney denies a rumor that says Brad Pitt and him each received more over $35 million for Wolfs
A rumor that claimed Brad Pitt and George Clooney received $35 million apiece for their parts in Wolfs has been refuted. The actor, sixty-three, said this on Sunday at a press conference for Jon Watts’ most recent picture at the Venice picture Festival. This comes after the New York Times revealed last week that the two stars received “more than $35 million each,” citing unnamed sources.
George Clooney reveals how much he and Pitt were actually paid for Wolfs
“It was an interesting article and whatever her source was for our salary, it is millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what was reported,” the Ticket to Paradise star stated prior to the thriller film’s debut. And the only reason I say that is because I believe it harms our sector when people view it as the gold standard for pay. He continued, “I think that’s terrible; it will make it impossible to make films.”

Clooney went on to say that once a theatrical agreement for the movie fell through, he and the Fight Club star returned a portion of their salaries. This implies a restricted release for Wolfs. “There have been some hiccups along the route; it happens. It surprised us that we didn’t have any foreign distribution at all when we completed “The Boys in the Boat,” which we originally intended for MGM but ultimately ended up being for Amazon. He clarified, “There are aspects of this that we are working out,” as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor from Ocean’s Eleven also spoke on the subject of how challenging it is to have a movie released in the modern era. You are all involved in this as well. There will inevitably be setbacks in this sector as we all attempt to navigate the post-COVID and post-everything landscape. It is unfortunate, of course, but on the plus side, the movie will be seen by a large audience and will be released in a select few hundred theaters. However, having a wide release would have been good, Clooney admitted.
