On Tuesday’s edition of The Face-Off, Eminem’s well-known alter ego returned after being eliminated in The Death of Slim Shady. The 51-year-old rapper made many allusions to other musicians in the business, including Taylor Swift, throughout the 11-minute Complex performance.
Slim Shady tells Eminem ‘you’re not Taylor Swift’
Slim Shady made fun of the Not Afraid hitmaker during the comedy scene by joking, “You’re not f**king Taylor Swift.” You had a significant era, but mine was mine! Following the release of his 12th studio album, which signaled the end of his controversial alternative character, Eminem made an appearance on The Face-Off.
The first line of Tuesday’s show was, “Somewhere in the Detroit multiverse,” before Slim Shady appeared. After that, Slim Shady reminds Eminem that he was the one who made him famous as they go on a journey down memory lane.

His alter ego stated, “I’ve been sent from the past to preserve our career,” to which Eminem questioned, “preserve my career? my twenty-five-year career? Did I sell a billion records or something? I believe that I’m doing fairly f**king well.
The Houdini rapper was then ridiculed by Slim Shady, who reminded him that “we sold all that st off my back bh.” Do not misunderstand. You would still be sporting the same dreadful Nike Air cap if it weren’t for me. You’re not Taylor Swift, f*k. “You had a single, significant era—mine,” the Midnights singer said, alluding to her wildly successful Eras Tour.
Fans react to Slim Shady’s Taylor Swift reference
Swift and the rapper from No Love came together as fans soon after the Eminem vs. Slim Shady episode was released. An X, a former Twitter user, commented, “Him actually recognizing Taylor as someone with hits in every era is goated.” “Well, slim does have a point,” a different admirer commented.
