This summer, Vogue is going playful with a special digital cover project honoring the stars’ animal companions. Look it over
A magazine cover featuring dogs? It may sound strange, but what better way to honor the beloved dogs that celebrities have as companions? Originally intended to highlight a small number of furry pals, Vogue’s digital cover project has grown to encompass an amazing sixteen cherished dogs.
Their most recent edition highlights the special relationship that exists between celebrities and their dogs, with features ranging from Anna Wintour’s trio of endearing doodles to Mariah Carey’s hyperactive Jack Russell terriers. These charming covers feature five superstars together with their four-legged companions that have stolen the show.
Introducing Demi Moore’s glitzy Chihuahua, Pilaf. Pilaf, a white-and-brown beauty with boundless activity, reminds Moore of a cross between Bette Davis and a goldfish. Tallulah Willis, Moore’s daughter, found Pilaf on Facebook during the epidemic, and her opulent lifestyle has subsequently drawn notice from the media.
In the middle of her recent Grammy victory and spotlight, Billie Eilish opted to keep herself busy by fostering pets. She adopted a litter of rescue puppies after getting in touch with Angel City Pit Bulls, the same group that her brother frequented. Known for his sharp teeth, Shark was one of the best. Since then, he has grown to be a cherished part of the O’Connell-Eilish family. These days, Shark loves going to the salon with Eilish and nibbling on her leftovers.
Mutley, Jill E. Beans and Cha Cha – Mariah Carrey
Usually accompanied by her glitzy entourage, Mariah Carey is spotted with her cherished Jack Russell terriers, Mutley, Jill E. Beans, and Cha Cha. These dogs never leave her side, whether she’s having fun at home or performing in Las Vegas. Mariah compares them to personal bodyguards and calls them her dearest friends and guardians. The threesome has demonstrated their star qualities by modeling with their well-known owner.
Brisket – Glenn Powell
Brisket, Glen Powell’s cute puppy, holds a special place in his heart. Powell’s Instagram debut of Brisket, a little puppy he described as “1.5 pounds of raw power” and his new bodyguard, in July of last year was a moment to drool over. Even though Glen was in the middle of filming Twisters in Oklahoma, he knew he had to get Brisket the moment he saw his portrait.
Boo Radley, Harper, Atticus Finch – Anna Wintour
Atticus Finch, Harper, and Boo Radley—Anna Wintour’s adored dog trio—also appeared for the pictures. The canines were perfectly coiffed and primed for their close-up, having just had their weekly grooming. The second child, Harper, was more laid back and drowsy than her gorgeous older sister, Radley, who had a traditional big-sister vibe. With her energetic and entertaining antics, Finch, the youngest, dominated the stage. Even with their sporadic conversational outbursts, the pack’s polished appeal was evident, demonstrating that they are just as photogenic as their well-known owner.
Celebrating celebrity pet relationships provides a touching window into the lives of these cherished animals. This fun edition reminds us of the small pleasures in life that come from spending time with our animal friends while we enjoy the summer’s bounty.
