Delhi: According to ANI, the event happened at about 3:15 p.m. when the couple was traveling to Maujpur.
Simranjeet Kaur, 30, was shot and killed on Wednesday while riding a motorcycle with her husband Heera Singh in the Gokalpuri neighborhood of Delhi.
According to ANI, the incident happened at about 3:15 pm when the pair was traveling to Maujpur.
The Delhi police informed ANI that Singh (40) got into a fight with a scooter rider near the Gokalpuri flyover after their cars almost collided.
According to NDTV, Singh informed the police that his wife was struck in the region where her neck and chest meet by a single shot fired by the man on the scooter from the overpass, around 35 feet away.
“Thereafter, an individual fired a solitary shot from the flyover beneath, at a range of roughly 30-35 feet, striking his spouse, Simranjeet Kaur, in her upper chest, close to her neck,” according to the police.
The couple was traveling with their two kids, who were twelve and four years old, according to NDTV.
Police said that she was pronounced brought dead when she was transported to the hospital. The police told ANI that they are now conducting an inquiry.
“After he brought his wife to GTB Hospital, she was pronounced brought-dead. A murder case is now being filed. The area’s CCTV video is being examined. The attacker is being sought for and apprehended. According to authorities, more inquiry is underway, as reported by ANI.
