It Ends With Us reaction prompts Lively to change the subject by complimenting Taylor Swift. She supported “Love Story,” stating that she wished Swift would sing every song.
In an attempt to deflect attention from the continued criticism of her movie, It Ends With Us, Blake Lively is amplifying her devotion to Taylor Swift. In an attempt to deflect criticism from the internet about recent allegations made against her co-star Justin Baldoni, Lively recently went on the radio and was heard praising her best friend while vehemently defending Swift’s classic song “Love Story.”
Blake Lively gushes over Taylor Swift’s Love Story
When Blake Lively let her inner fangirl out in a radio interview, she demonstrated why she’s Taylor Swift’s biggest fan. In an episode of BBC Radio 1 Breakfast’s “Unpopular Opinion,” a caller boldly proposed replacing Love Story on the Eras Tour set list with another “fierce” selection. Swift’s song has always been a mainstay at her concerts, but some fans now believe it’s time to move on and introduce some new music. The actress, though, didn’t seem to be at that persuaded by the proposal.
Lively went all protective bestie on Swift’s classic, dropping jaws with her mic-dropping defense. She didn’t simply disagree, either. In response, the Gossip Girl star said, “That’s rough.” “You simply detest joy or happiness? or simply your auditory organs? You think your ears are ugly?” she asked, as reported by Page Six.
In addition, Blake wished that Taylor Swift would play “47 hours straight so that every song could be played at all times.” This looks rather ambitious considering that Swift’s gigs usually run between three and five hours. “So my unpopular opinion is that I want it all—yes, every song,” she stated. What song list is it? Indeed.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s controversy
The actress has taken comfort (and maybe diversion) in show-casing her closest friend amid her own career’s rough seas. The actress and Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of It Ends With Us, have become entangled in a public spat.
There have been rumors going around about the two having a tense relationship; the sources claim that their creative disagreements escalated into a major argument. The movie was edited twice as a result of these conflicts. When Baldoni made hints about leaving his role as director for a possible sequel, ostensibly validating the rumors of a strained relationship, the situation escalated.
That’s not all, though. The former Gossip Girl reportedly also talked about how Baldoni’s questioning about her trainer’s weight made her feel self-conscious about her postpartum figure. She also talked about how unpleasant and unusual she thought a long kiss to be.
