The internet is split over a new Bengaluru business that claims to deliver food in ten minutes.
Opinions on social media on a Bengaluru-based firm that claims to serve food in under ten minutes are mixed. Right now, Swish is a fast meal delivery service available in HSR Layout. It claims to bring hot, fresh meals to consumers in 10 minutes while avoiding Bengaluru’s terrible traffic.
Co-founder of Swish Ujjwal Sukheja stated that he had the idea for a 10-minute meal delivery app after seeing that many young people nowadays have to wait a long time for their food orders. Anything can be obtained fast in HSR; a darshini can prepare a dosa in a matter of minutes. However, the wait times for online meal delivery may be excruciatingly long,” he stated in a post on X announcing the August 4 launch of Swish. We came to understand that a lot of young people share this issue. We are so creating Swish for them (as well as for us),” Sukheja continued.
Much awaited life update 📢

After months of building in Stealth, Excited to announce that we are building Swish: 10-min food delivery app (@justswishin)
Many of you might be asking how did a bunch of crypto enthusiasts end up launching a food delivery app?

The concept of a fast meal delivery platform remained unappealing to many, despite the recent unprecedently high growth in popularity of quick commerce platforms that deliver groceries and household items in ten minutes or less.
Convenience or exploitation?
While some questioned the idea in its entirety and questioned why anybody would require meals delivered in less than ten minutes, others questioned if food that was served that rapidly would truly be fresh. Others brought up the practical difficulties of having to deliver meals in ten minutes, pointing out that delivery personnel might be tempted to drive recklessly.
Rahul Mathur commented, “Really amazing how fast this has gone from idea to execution-sadly have already had my dinner tonight / not in otherwise would have given it a shot.”
Aditya Pasumarthi, an X user, retorted, “I would never order from such a facility knowing nothing healthy can be cooked in 2-3 minutes.”
Food in ten minutes, according to some X users, is something no one has requested. Others referred to it as labor exploitation.
With all due respect, the last thing this country needs is yet another oppressive food delivery service. What it does need is… oh well, that is a long unsexy list indeed which won’t attract exploitative VC funds. https://t.co/mpDPl8OilM

Are there any other nations (that have strict labor regulations) where this 10-minute practice is practiced? When was the last time you wanted meal delivery in ten minutes? inquired with one individual.
“If you have to make the meal yourself and expect it delivered in 10 minutes, this is labor exploitation,” someone else said.
This, as far as I can tell, translates to a lot of prepared, frozen, or stored food as well as the mistreatment of delivery drivers. Thank you, but no. A third said, “I’ll either cook or just go to a nearby convenience store/street-food stall/takeout if I’m SO hungry that I need food in 10 minutes.”
“At this stage, you are creating obstacles for your company concepts! An X user stated, “We need ambulances in five minutes, not this.
Tried this out of curiosity!

Delivered on time!!
Me & my friends really liked the samosa & packaging 😅
Kudos to @ujjwal_sukheja & team Swish! https://t.co/QayLjYD9V4 pic.twitter.com/NOT0DFplRJ
A number of individuals who used the delivery app expressed their admiration for how quickly it worked. Concurrently, Swish’s official X account has been expressing regret to users who received their purchases in 15 minutes as opposed to 10.
Zomato and Swiggy are the two main participants in the Indian meal delivery market at the moment. Quick commerce is another area of business for both Swiggy (via Swiggy Instamart) and Zomato (through Blinkit).
